Biochemical Engineers use technology with biological material to create new products as well as maintain the safety and efficiency of existing products. They apply engineering theory and problem solving to the molecular structure of cells. They design equipment for production plants and equipment that monitors quality control on a molecular level. May work to improve food and medicine or to create environmentally friendly fuels.
