Organic Food Producer
Organic farmers produce foods in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act (OFPA) of 1990. Specifically, they use methods and materials to minimize the effects of farming on the environment and incorporate the farm into a healthy ecosystem. Organic farmers refrain from using artificial fertilizers or pesticides and try to conserve soil and water resources. Organic meat, poultry, and eggs are given no growth hormones or antibiotics and are usually free-roam or cage-free.
